Startups Need A Break: Anchorman Showdown Coming To St. Louis Friday

By December 17, 2013

Come on, admit it.  If you run a startup, you want to be kind of a big deal. Seriously, who doesn’t? It’s why I wear four-inch heels periodically. But this Friday the folks at Rally Saint Louis are going to help you be kind of a big deal and, at the same time, help you play a little holiday-time hooky from work (and Lord knows we all need a few hours off).

How, you ask? Head to the MX Movie Theater in downtown St. Louis for a special and charitable Anchorman 2 Screening & Trivia Showdown presented by CafePress (Facebook event invite here), with chances to win official gear from the hotly anticipated film featuring legendary newsman Ron Burgundy.

Here’s the rub: Beginning at 10:30 a.m., St. Louis news anchors John Pertzborn (KTVI Fox 2), Pat McGonigle (KSDK-5), Andre Hepkins (KMOV-4), Mark Reardon (KMOX), Steve Potter (KWMU) will compete in a St. Louis news trivia event hosted by, perhaps, Ron Burgundy – the biggest deal of them all.  The winning anchorman will win $1,000, courtesy of, to give to a local charity.

Then just before the film begins at 11 a.m., we’ll turn the tables and ask the audience trivia questions for a change to win free official Anchorman 2 merchandise from The show starts promptly at 11 a.m. Tickets can only be purchased ONLINE HERE or at the door and are just $7, and for information just email [email protected] or call 314-561-8253.

So give yourself a pre-holiday respite and increase your standing on the ‘Kind Of A Big Deal’ meter. You deserve it.

Panda, out.
