Spend An Evening With Aisle411, ITEN At December’s StartLouis Meetup

Following the most recent StartLouis event in which Lockerdome CEO Gabe Lozano and RollSale founder Mike Nicols shared the stories behind their companies’ latest achievements, three new entrepreneurs will take the stage next month for the December StartLouis meetup at T-REx, the city’s premiere startup coworking space in downtown St. Louis. Matt Kulig, co-founder and CFO of aisle411, will take the stage during the December 4th event to discuss the indoor navigation company’s latest round of executive hires, nationwide partnerships, and fundraising. Aisle411 enables customers to use their mobile devices to find the items they’re looking for in retail stores, and in turn provides businesses with the chance to display targeted ads and promotions to their customers. Executive director of St. Louis’ Information Technology Entrepreneur Network (ITEN) Jim Brasunas will also be in attendance to talk about the not-for-profit organization’s work with entrepreneurs throughout the city. ITEN offers a wealth of free resources to entrepreneurs, including mentorship and community support. According to the meetup website, Brasunas will cover the traits of successful founders and discuss how to pursue a business venture on limited resources. Lastly, St. Louis Arch Grants executive director Sarah Spear will hold a Q&A session on the organization’s recently-opened round of $50,000 grants for startups willing to relocate to St. Louis. The equity-free seed investment gives companies the chance to kickstart their company within the city’s growing community, and offers discounted office space, access to mentors, and other free services. This year’s Arch Grants competition is offering more funding than ever, with slots for 20 companies to grab their share of $1 million. The evening event will begin at 7 pm, and will be followed by a tour of the T-REx coworking space. StartLouis events are free and open to all entrepreneurial enthusiasts in the St. Louis area, so be sure to RSVP if you’ve been looking for a chance to take a peek inside the city’s growing community of startups.
