Ness Digital Engineering and Vendavo to usher in new era of AI-led innovation

Now that AI has been on the scene for a number of years, we can begin to see how the technology is being leveraged by organizations. A new survey from McKinsey titled The State of AI has found that progress remains uneven.

First of all, many are still in the process of experimentation. Nearly two-thirds of respondents say their organizations have not yet begun scaling AI across the enterprise.

Yet the report also found that enterprises that use AI to drive innovation, rather than efficiency, are the highest performers.

Vendavo empowers global manufacturers and distributors to accelerate growth and profitability with leading pricing, selling, and rebate management solutions. The enterprise is committed to staying ahead of the market through continued transformation that places AI at the core of business operations.

This is demonstrated by its partnership with Ness Digital Engineering, announced this week, which is ushering in a new era of AI-led innovation for the global leader in B2B pricing, selling, and rebate management solutions.

While some enterprises continue to experiment with localized pilot projects, organizations that adopt an ambitious approach to the application of the technology promise to get ahead in their industry.

By partnering with Ness Digital Engineering (Ness), Vendavo will embark on a multi-year initiative. This will have a number of core goals, including the creation of a product-centered modernization program focused on AI-enabled delivery, enhancing access to tech talent and improving the speed at which new digital solutions can be launched to customers.

The news means that Ness, a global full-lifecycle digital engineering leader, is now Vendavo’s Professional Services and Engineering Excellence partner. Ness will apply AI across Vendavo’s Product Engineering Life cycle to drive sustained and scalable value creation.

Vendavo exemplifies the vision of modern product organizations that embrace transformation to stay ahead,” said Dr. Ranjit Tinaikar, CEO of Ness.

As an enterprise committed to redefining how commercial excellence platforms are engineered and delivered, Vendavo is proactively reshaping its product development strategy to remain ahead of market expectations.

Companies like Emerson, Medtronic, and GAF rely on Vendavo to manage, optimize, and digitize their end-to-end commercial processes. With the support of Ness, the delivery of this service is about to be transformed with AI-enabled software engineering.

The partnership will ensure Vendavo has access to core AI-enabled products and techniques at Ness that will boost engineering productivity and automate the software development lifecycle. It will also ensure that AI is infused into Vendavo’s product portfolio with a particular focus on pricing analytics and margin optimization. As a result, Vendavo can stay ahead of market expectations and increase the lifetime value created for each of the customers it serves.

To serve customers with digital products and services that truly meet their needs, organizations need to constantly refine and improve the product development lifecycle. However, to do so at speed without sacrificing quality is a challenge that many companies grapple with.

By partnering with Ness, Vendavo aims to overcome this hurdle and create more value for its customers by changing how it builds and delivers products.

As the two companies partner up, the new era will see them leverage Ness ATONIS™, an AI-engineering workbench that includes proprietary accelerators and Intelligent Engineering tools. This will sit at the core of the Vendavo Intelligent Engineering Center that aims to maximize customer experience and enterprise outcomes while also offering timely feedback on product release cycles. The company will use a modern Intelligent Engineering Center model with reusable components, KPI-driven governance, and automation-first delivery.

“As a market leader, we consistently look ahead to what the next generation of commercial enterprise platforms should deliver. To further improve our innovation, velocity and engineering performance, we chose Ness for their Intelligent Engineering expertise and AI-first approach,” explained Sharath Dorbala, CEO of Vendavo.

Scaling innovation with tech talent

The partnership will also make sure that Vendavo has access to a steady pipeline of talent to ensure its product delivery goals can be met.

Part of the ambitious new multi-year initiative includes the creation of the Vendavo Innovation Studio that will support rapid experimentation. In addition, Vendavo University to develop future-ready talent to tackle the global shortage of developers and engineers.

“We are proud to serve as Vendavo’s transformation partner by combining AI-first product innovation, engineering modernization, and sustained productivity impact to strengthen Vendavo’s global market position,” Dr Tinaikar concluded. The partnership is a strong example of how a global SaaS leader is using AI-accelerated engineering and modern delivery models from India to drive product velocity and higher value creation.
