This Memorial Day weekend, a non-profit out of Louisville, Kentucky, honored Veterans with a remembrance field.Thousands of flags were placed by volunteers, and additional funds were raised to purchase more flags. This non-profit raises money all year long at various events to place flags on graves for Veterans Day. They work with local organizations and volunteers in 42 states to recognize service men and women and are continually trying to expand their reach. This past year has been one of their strongest since they first started. While we typically cover startups and innovation, it’s nice to take a quick break during the holiday weekend to learn more about a non-profit that is taking a simple idea and turning it into something more. http://youtu.be/qEv2mJyHwvg
