6th Grade Entrepreneur Will Make You Feel Inspired and Like an Under-Achieving Geezer

“I’ve always had a fascination for computers and technology,” said Thomas Suarez introducing himself at TEDxManhattanBeach addressing the crowd as a keynote speaker. Normally such a simple statement wouldn’t cause an entire audience to smurk and chuckle, but, you see, Suarez’s ‘always’ isn’t as long as you might expect – he’s only in the 6th grade.

While most kids are running around on the playground, Suarez spends his middle school days creating iPhone applications and establishing his own company, CarrotCorp. The minute Apple released the Software Development Kit (SDK) Suarez began building, marketing and selling his own applications – the most popular of which is “an anti-Justin-Bieber game” called “Bustin Jieber” which resembles Whac-a-Mole, but only .. you know with Beiber.

And as you can tell by his company’s homepage, Suarz’s passion was inspired by his hero – Steve Jobs. Similar to his icon, Suarez loves inspiring others to do and build the impossible even starting his own cub at school where he shares his love for programming.
