Uber Now Offering The Ultimate Cinco de Mayo Pre-game

If you’re in San Francisco this Friday and you’re planning on getting into the spirit of Cinco de Mayo a day early, car service Uber has got you covered. For a $100 in-app purchase, Uber will deliver your very own Mariachi band, a bottle of margarita mix, and a piñata. To order your on-demand fiesta, all you have to do is open up the Uber app and tap the sombrero. From 12 – 5pm PDT,  three Uber SUVs will be available to deliver you the goods. Simply click the “Let’s Party” button to schedule your time and location, and Uber will put you in touch with the nearest SUV. According to the Uber blog, the Mariachi band will play one song, and it can be from their  their repertoire. or a  request. Choose carefully, because you only get one. After the song, they’ll leave you with a piñata and margarita mix – don’t forget to supply your own tequila. Even if you’re not into the whole Mariachi band thing, Uber can still be a part of your celebration this weekend. Uber is a car service operating in San Francisco, New York City, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Paris, Seattle, Toronto, and Washington D.C. You don’t have to flag down a car or even call the car service ahead of time. All you have to do is download the Uber app, register as a customer, and request a car via the app. You’ll be connected to the nearest driver. Additionally, you can leave your cash at home as Uber charges the rate and the driver’s tip to your card that is connected to your account. Unfortunately, San Francisco is the only city getting the Cinco de Mayo fiesta treatment on Friday.
