Startup Vitamins Delivers The Right Dose Of Inspiration For Emerging Businesses

As you’ve likely figured out, life as a startup is not easy.  You’re working around the clock, scratching and clawing your way to not only a finished product but also one that people want to support.  During this process, you’ll experience incredible highs where you’re fulfilling your life’s passion to bitter, bone-chilling lows of self pity.  That’s to be expected.  Sometimes, you just need a little inspiration to keep you going through those lows.  That’s where Startup Vitamins can help. They describe themselves as serial entrepreneurs who have learned things the hard way.  In fact, combined they have 11 failed projects.  As they state on their website, “We know how hard it is. One day you’re changing the world. The next you think your product is crap.” Don’t worry.  These posters are not your standard inspirational drivel.  They’ve taken some of the lessons they’ve learned and condensed them for you into key aspects of startup success.  These include messages from “The trick isn’t adding stuff it’s taking away” to a reminder as simple as “Get Shit Done.” The reason these messages are so poignant is thanks to its founder, Lauris Liberts. He first realized the need for real inspiration when he was going through the trials and tribulations of developing his startup DraugiemGroup.  However, he didn’t stop at one.  An entrepreneur through and through, he has gone on to develop startups on a global scale, and he’s not finished yet. Now through Startup Vitamins, Liberts is working to help support startups.  Profits from the sale of posters goes toward supporting various organizations that bring value to the startup community.  Today, these profits are split between StartupWeekend and Garage48.  Both of these organizations help bring new ideas to life all over the world. You can find these great posters in offices such as Google, Path, slideshare and at the Techli HQ.  Below is one of my personal favorites!

The next time you need to be reminded that the world is not ending and you will survive if you just persevere, consider adding a dose of inspiration to your workspace with Startup Vitamins and help yourself while helping others. Remember, “It’s supposed to be hard.  If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it.  The hard…is what makes it great.”  You keep believing in your ideas, and we’ll continue to bring you great stories from the startup community here on Techli. Who knows? Our next piece may just feature you. How else do you stay inspired? Give us a few of your favorite Startup Vitamins in the comments. (And if you want a poster of your own, tell us why you need one in the comments. We have five to give away, but you’ll have to convince us to pick you first!)
