North Dakota venture capital firm heads north to Canada’s biggest SaaS event

Andrew Christensen, director of Arthur Ventures, a North Dakota venture capital firm focused on investing in B2B software companies outside Silicon Valley, will be speaking at the 2nd Annual SaaS North Conference, Canada’s largest gathering of Software as a Service Professionals.  Arthur Ventures has been investing in ambitious, mission-driven, B2B software companies throughout North America. As a venture capital firm working 100% outside Silicon Valley, director of Arthur Ventures Andrew Christensen has been invited to share his views, at the SaaS North Conference, on the difference in doing business, and scaling companies in regions separate from San Francisco’s Bay Area. The SaaS North Conference, set to take place in Ottawa on November 29-30, has grown significantly since its premier last year and will gather over 1,200 of the regions most prominent founders, investors and leaders in the SaaS industry. This year the event is attracting not only Canada’s leading expertise in SaaS but global figures and companies from various SaaS regions, including Arthur Ventures situated on the Great Plains of North Dakota. Christensen will join Mike Gardner, CEO of Agreement Express, and Brian Kobus from Omers Ventures to discuss “Lessons learned from seeing multiple SaaS companies scale from $1M to $10M in ARR outside Silicon Valley” on November 30 at Ottawa’s Shaw Center, host to SaaS North, at 11:05AM. L-Spark, Canada’s largest SaaS accelerator and co-founder of the SaaS North conference, aims to make Canada the new SaaS capital of the world. “As Software as a Service continues to grow in Canada, the SaaS North conference is even more committed to establishing a much needed platform for SaaS companies to scale up into globally competitive firms,” says Leo Lax, Executive Managing Director of L-Spark. As Canada continues to successfully attract companies away from Silicon Valley, it will be interesting to see what other regional hubs and actors, such as Arthur Ventures, have been doing differently to help SaaS businesses grow.
