Detroit will host the Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition in November, which will see hundreds of startups compete for more than $1 million in prizes. Every year more than 200 companies take part in the competition, with a grand prize of $500,000. Thirty-six lucky semifinalists will make the final cut in October, those business will then present their pitches to a panel of judges on November 16 at Detroit’s Masonic Temple.
