Chicago-based Healthbox Accelerator has announced the first participants who will begin the program on January 9, 2012. Ten health-related technology startups were chosen from applications received from 26 states and eight countries. The inaugural class will have access to a mentor network which includes top industry professionals and venture capitalists along with $50,000 seed money each. The culmination of their efforts will be on display on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 for Investor Day. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with 10 passionate teams that represent some of the best entrepreneurial talent in healthcare,” said Healthbox founder Nina Nashif in a press release. “Their business ideas are spurring new ways of thinking and collaborating in the industry. Healthbox is committed to advancing their development and helping to bring sustainable innovation into the marketplace.” The ten startups are listed below.
