Entrepreneur and good human being Kris Petersen started his career as a cog in the wheel of corporate America. His dark-side experience includes over five years of technology consulting for Fortune 100 companies with IBM and five years of web application design and implementation with GS1 US. Early in his career Petersen moonlighted as an entrepreneur starting and selling a commercial cleaning business and launching a web application geared towards condominium and homeowner associations. As a proud member of the Chicago technology scene, Petersen spent a year with Lightbank as an Entrepreneur in Residence and most recently founded DealsGoRound — a secondary marketplace and personal deal organizer for the daily deal industry — where he works today as the CEO. He was recently honored as a “Idea Award Fellow” at Chicago Ideas Week for his positive contributions to his local community and industry. You can read more about Kris and his ventures on DealsGoRound’s blog.
