Facebook Guide To Travel (Infographic)

With the summer travel season rapidly approaching, you’re likely beginning to think about destinations for your next vacation.  And, it’s more important to take a vacation than you might think… One study showed that taking an annual vacation can cut a person’s risk of heart attack by 50%.  That’s right… I said 50%, which is just one more reason why over 125 countries mandate paid vacation time.  Even just the anticipation of a vacation can increase positive feelings about one’s life in its entirety. Plus for all the husbands out there, you should know that women who take more vacations feel more satisfied in their marriages.  That’s something to think about in itself. However, if you live in the U.S., taking vacation days can be a bit scary.  Be honest. How many times do you check your smart phone when you’re on vacation? (I’ll admit that I’m guilty of this.)  But remember, you’ve earned those vacation days. Stop trying to find reasons why you can’t use them.  After all, three out of four executives believe that vacations are necessary to prevent burnout and improve your overall job performance. Now, you just have to figure out where to go, and the possibilities are endless.  Take a few ideas from British travelers.  The co-operative travel commissioned an infographic that revealed popular destinations for British travelers after analyzing “Likes” on Facebook. The results might surprise you.  For instance, Greece is a popular vacation spot, and the number one thing to do is go nude with 1,280 “Likes” on Facebook.  Not surprising, all of the destinations have over 250+ sunny days a year, compared to Britain’s mere 150+ sunny days.  Other tidbits, the favorite spot for British beach holidays abroad is Spain, which offers stunning beaches, exciting nightlife, and outstanding cuisine.  See the infographic for more and be sure to tell us where you’ll be vacationing this year in the comments.
