EverPurse Showcases iPhone 5 Compatibility As Kickstarter Surpasses Goal

On the eve of the iPhone 5 launch, EverPurse, the bag with the built in battery that keeps your smartphone charged on the go, has unveiled a video of its stylish accessory charging the brand new smartphone from Apple. EverPurse offers the equivalent of two full iPhone charges to make sure your phone never runs out of juice when you need it most. In the brief video below, Mobcart co-founder Daniel Salcedo demonstrates the EverPurse charging the iPhone 5, which is set to be released in stores today. Avid Apple fans have been starting to line up outside retail stores in anticipation for the new device as early as Wednesday.

EverPurse has already rocketed past its original Kickstarter goal of $100,000, nearing 1,000 backers so far who have given $140,000 to the project. EverPurse founder and CEO Liz Ormesher Salcedo told us earlier this month that, even though the campaign began weeks before the release of the iPhone 5, the Chicago-based company would be quick to accommodate the smartphone’s updated Lightning dock connector based on feedback from the campaign’s backers. During its remaining 21 days on Kickstarter, EverPurse will continue to take feedback from its supporters to develop the final release of the product, which is expected to make its way into the hands of customers by March of next year. Following the milestone of reaching its Kickstarter goal, EverPurse announced that the handbag will additionally be compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S3 upon release. While the early bird specials are currently sold out, EverPurse backers can still get either an original fabric or leather bag for under $160, which includes the handy wireless charging station. Head over to the Kickstarter page to find out more about the EverPurse, and be sure to check back for updates as the Chicago company continues forward with its fundraising campaign.
