Explore The Benefits Of Gamification At Badgeville Engage Chicago

Silicon Valley-based gamification startup Badgeville is bringing its cross-country tour to the Windy City on September 27th. The invite-only event will feature an evening of speakers, networking, and discussions surrounding the growing place of gamification in business today. Badgeville’s behavior platform enables any type of company to incentivize hard work by creating achievement-based rewards for its employees, and engage its customers with loyalty incentives, all while keeping track of the program’s impact. The company estimates that companies using the behavior platform see an increase in valuable user behavior between 20 and 200 percent. According to M2 Research, the gamification industry is expected to grow to nearly $2.8 billion over the next four years. During its sold out kick off event in San Francisco more than 400 attendees from both startups and Fortune 500 companies came together to discuss the benefits of gamification.

“Whether its customer audiences, employee audiences, developers, communities, partners, we’re all seeking new ways to connect with and engage with those users… there’s a potential for something more,” said Badgeville co-founder and CEO Kris Duggan during the San Francisco Summit event. “Why we want to have this conference is to share the ideas of what’s working, share what’s not working, and build upon the knowledge that this collective group is developing.” The Badgeville Engage Event in Chicago is the third stop on the cross-country tour, which will conclude in New York City in October. Speakers at the Chicago event include Marc Parrish, vice president of membership and loyalty at Barnes & Noble; Restaurant.com president and CMO Christopher Krohn; Deloitte Consulting national innovation manager James Saunders; and O2 Media’s social media director Jamie Kennedy, among others. The event is scheduled to take place between 4 and 8 pm at the Prairie Production venue near the West Loop. Whether you’re already a Badgeville customer or simply interested in learning more about the rapidly growing gamification industry, free invites for the September 27th event are available upon request at the Badgeville Engage 2012 website.
