AI is professionalizing how enterprises communicate

For startups, mastering communication is no longer just about persuasion—it’s about scalability. As companies grow, the ability to consistently translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives becomes a competitive advantage. Yet, for most startups, access to high-quality communication expertise remains out of reach. This is the gap Prezent is aiming to close.

Founded in 2021 by Rajat Mishra, Prezent is building an AI-powered communication platform designed to replace slow, expensive agency models with a system that blends artificial intelligence, domain-specific software, and human expertise. Headquartered in Los Altos, the company works with enterprises across life sciences, technology, and manufacturing—industries where precision, compliance, and clarity are critical.

This month, Prezent announced a strategic partnership with Tom McCarthy, one of the world’s most respected high-stakes presentation coaches, signaling a new phase in how AI can be used to professionalize and scale business communication.

From static decks to AI-powered coaching

McCarthy, founder of FIRE-UP Training, has coached executives at companies such as Cisco, Microsoft, Salesforce, Zoom, and Wells Fargo. Earlier in his career, while leading sales and marketing at Robbins Research International, he developed the FIRE-UP Your Presentations System—an approach credited with driving a 200% increase in sales.

Now, that methodology is being translated into AI-powered communication coaching avatars within the Prezent platform.

Unlike generic AI writing tools, Prezent’s avatars offer real-time coaching, structured frameworks, and actionable feedback tailored to specific industries and business contexts. The goal is not to generate slides faster, but to institutionalize best-in-class communication across teams.

“The future of communication will be powered by technology but guided by humanity,” said McCarthy, describing the rationale behind the partnership.

The announcement comes shortly after Prezent raised an additional $30 million in funding, earmarked largely for acquisitions. The company positions itself as a disruptor of the traditional $20 billion agency and consultancy market, offering measurable ROI to enterprise customers—particularly within F2000 life sciences and technology firms.

Prezent’s platform can process complex clinical or technical data and turn it into contextualized, brand-aligned presentations in minutes rather than weeks. Through APIs and presentation agents, teams can integrate communication workflows directly into their existing systems, effectively creating what the company calls a “Company Presentation Brain.”

As AI moves deeper into enterprise operations, Prezent’s approach highlights a shift: communication is no longer a soft skill—it’s becoming core infrastructure.
