Ladies and gents (and it is my extreme pleasure to address you all as that), I come to you with humble observations of a man who’s wandered to and fro in hopes of enlightening the masses with an ideal end: that every man and woman might one day discover life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And how should he and she accomplish these? Entrepreneurship, of course. I hold this truth to be self-evident.
The name’s Pitch, Mr. Pitch, and, to put it simply, I’m an individual of a different temperament. Some of you might have heard of me before, or you might have even had the pleasure of meeting me in person. You see, I’ve spent the last few years kicking back and watching things develop. I’ve sat in corners, engaged in “meaningful conversations,” and been to many an event. Some of you might have even met me without knowing it. (But that’s besides the point.)
Through all of these things I believe I’ve come to a few yippety-yi-aye conclusions on the very fair city most people know as St. Louis, Missouri, a place I’ve come to call a second lodge. By all means, the urban landscape of the once quite boastful and proud city has engaged in a sort of renaissance over the past few years. That, my friends, is undeniable, especially in the entrepreneurial light. However, as all folks seem to conjure up at some point in time or another, I have a few things in mind that top the list of things that need to happen for this great metropolis to continue growing in the right direction. (Notice my use of the word “continue.”) I’ve shared them in the video above, and I’ll explain further over the coming weeks.
That’s it for now, folks. Don’t worry. I’ll be back. This should be plenty to load onto the plates for now. But be careful; life isn’t some kind of buffet. Only take what you’re going to eat (or it’ll charge you extra).
I might be at the International Man of Mystery awards ceremony, but feel free to leave a comment or two, and I’ll get back with you A$AP, home boy(s and girls).
Adios, amigos.
Mr. “Dean” Pitch
