Minnesota’s own Paragon Development merges with Works Computing

Brookfield, Minnesota’s Paragon Development Systems, Inc. is merging with Minneapolis company Works Computing Inc, though the terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to an announcement issued by the companies on Wednesday.

Works Computing is based in Bloomington, MN and employs 38 full-time employees. They will merge into Paragon Development Systems and become Works Computing, a PDS company. The current president and CEO of PDS, Asif Naseem, will retain the same role within the merger.

The current President of Works Computing, Mitch Brown, plans to leave the company at the end of the transition period.

At its headquarters in Brookfield, PDS currently has 253 employees. They also have five offices throughout the Midwest and one in Silicon Valley. Duluth, Minn.; Rochester, Minn.; and Lincoln, Neb., are all home to Works Computing offices. Works Computing provides data center technology to clients in the Midwest, while PDS focuses on government, healthcare, education, and corporate IT services.

Naseem said in a statement: “As one organization we will be well positioned to better assist our customers in addressing their evolving information technology needs as they march forward with their digital transformation.”
