Atlassian and Hypothesis team up to enhance remote collaboration with web annotation tool

Atlassian, the Australian tech giant, has announced a partnership with Hypothesis, the web annotation solution from Anno, to integrate it into their Confluence Cloud product. This move aims to enhance team collaboration worldwide by bringing team conversations to web pages, PDFs, ebooks, and web apps.

With Hypothesis, employees can add comments and tag their teammates across different types of content, such as websites, blogs, and research articles. The annotations are automatically consolidated and organized in Confluence, making them searchable for easy reference.

According to Dan Whaley, CEO of Hypothesis, this partnership introduces a new era where real-time collaboration is possible anywhere in the browser.

“This partnership introduces a new era where real-time collaboration is possible anywhere you’re working in your browser. Now, teams can work differently, but stay together across more types of content,” added the executive.

Hypothesis was created by Anno, a Public Benefit Corporation, and Atlassian is known for its products such as Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Bitbucket, and Trello, among others. The company has more than 8,000 employees.
