Microsoft Announces Kinect Accelerator
BY: Lindsay ONeal | November 21, 2011Microsoft is teaming up with Techstars to turn Kinect hackers into a startup founders. Microsoft will choose ten finalists to be a part of “Kinect Accelerator” - a three month incubator running from March to May, 2012 in Seattle, WA.
According to Microsoft, each of the participating companies “will receive an investment of $20,000, an Xbox development kit, the Windows Kinect SDK, office space, all the resources of BizSpark, technical training and support, and mentorship from entrepreneurs, investors and Microsoft executives intensely focused on making their business a success.”
At the end of the program, each company will have the opportunity to pitch their idea to a room of investors and venture capitalists. For more details about applying for Kinect Accelerator click here.
